Some little deaths in Venice (2017)

2017. Bodies, ice, voice recording, foam mannequins, tape. Dimensions variable.

"Every single day, 151,600 people die.

On July 11, 2017 in Venice, Italy, approximately 440 people departed.. This is an account of the alternative deaths - the same day, the same city - but the quiet ones, going unnoticed and unrecorded."

First performed during the 57th Biennale di Venezia in 2017, these little deaths is a disruption of a queer kind, from life and death, nature and nurture, dominance and submission. A site-specific collaborative performance by Vivienne Le and Viv Liu investigating the states of change in fluidity and homosexuality of Venice, Italy.

La petite mort... the sensation of orgasm as likened to death.
